Sound of the Week: Big Zero – ‘Tear It Up and Start Again’

Capture

Accompanied by charming VHS-quality music videos, Big Zero’s tracks are all deliciously retro flavoured, recorded entirely on 8-track cassettes. The UK band’s latest single ‘Tear It Up and Start Again’ is a punky New Wave anti-establishment anthem that sees the band going crazy in a school library, lashing out the education system. Political and yet also humorous, they’re a refreshingly unique addition to the rock landscape that’s already building a cult following.
